Some of the medical conditions
we evaluate and treat

  • Arrhythmia - Irregular beating of the heart that may lead to stroke or sudden death.
  • Cardiomyopathy - A serious disease in which the heart muscle becomes inflamed and doesn't work as well as it should. It can cause enlargement of the heart and heart failure.
  • Cholesterol - As your blood cholesterol levels rise, so does your risk for cardiovascular disease.
  • Congenital heart disease in adults - Heart defects with which you were born may not affect your heart until you are an adult and will require medical attention.
  • Coronary artery disease - When the arteries that supply your heart muscle are blocked, your heart is deprived of oxygen. That can lead to heart damage or a heart attack.
  • Diabetes - Dramatically increases by two to four times your risk of heart disease and stroke.
  • Heart attack - A risk for women as well as men, a heart attack can cause permanent damage to the heart muscle or death.
  • Heart failure - When the heart is unable to pump blood with enough force, it may cause fluid to back up in your lungs, feet, and ankles, and fatigue, among other symptoms.
  • Obesity - Defined as 30 pounds or more over your ideal weight, obesity is considered a major risk factor for coronary heart disease and heart attack.
  • Peripheral artery disease - Many people do not have symptoms of pain in the hips, thighs, or calves, but this disease can lead to heart attack or stroke.
