Responsible for accurate collection of patient and insurance data in order to file claims and secure payments on the patients behalf. Responsible for counseling patients on appropriate financial services that may be available. Assisting patients with establishing acceptable payment arrangements with balances owed to Athens Heart Center. Responsible for clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks directly related to Accounts Receivable. Conveys a positive image of the department and practice. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous insurance, billing and collection experience a definite plus but would be willing to train the right person.
