Subodh Agrawal, MD, FACC and Mehul Bhatt, MD, practicing interventional cardiologists at Athens Heart Center have begun collaborating with St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta. “We feel that we can offer excellent cardiac and vascular care to our patients in Athens and throughout Northeast Georgia by affiliating with the top heart hospital in the Southeast.” An important focus of this collaboration will be the latest endovascular procedures to treat peripheral vascular disease and prevent stroke and limb loss. St. Joseph’s Hospital provides a multidisciplinary approach to stroke prevention and treatment including carotid angioplasty and stenting as well as treatment of claudication and critical limb ischemia.
